Citing the Sources That I Used

                                             in a Research Project

Whenever you are doing research and you are taking information from another source such as a  book, magazine, encyclopedia, newspaper, or a website, you must complete a bibliography. or a works cited sheet for that assignment.

There are generally two different citation styles, MLA and APA, that are used to cite sources used in a research project. Check with your teacher as to which style they would prefer.

Citation Machine is an excellent web site that will help you to properly cite the sources that you used. Other helpful web sites includes NoodleTools and KnightCite.

Other possible resources concerning MLA Papers and Works Cited Pages

If you have any questions about writing up a bibliography be sure to ask the library staff for help.
